I visited at my friend’s house yesterday to see her cousin who just came out from the drug rehab. Her cousin was part of my circle of friends in college. We used to hang out together but when she shifted to another course she rarely joined us. After college we went to pursue our respective careers. I was surprised when I found out that she was on drug rehab. She at her own decision told her parents about her condition. On her own, she knew she was in trouble. I am just so glad that she is now fine, normal and happy. It’s really true that there will always be a time stand up after we have fallen.

Middle in Nowhere

My friend was ecstatic when she was telling her story about her experience last weekend. She went on camping with her friends and when she was on their way home, their car broke down in the middle of nowhere. The scary part was that their mobile phone signal were not stable. They could not contact any one even rv towing, a rescue road service. It took them about two hours to find a stable signal. They finally called the road service and another friend who lives nearby to pick them up. We were all surprised about her experience. I could imagine the scenes in the movies. LOL!

Today's cooking lesson

I have learn today in this cooking show that there are many variables in making your food healthy. There are lots of little ways to trim cholesterol, fat, salt and calories without trimming taste. There are also ways to enhance the flavors of your selected foods-and some special ways to handle food. Like trimming all visible fat from meat before cooking. Seal natural juice into foods by wrapping them in foil before cooking. Or try wrapping foods in edible pouches made of steamed lettuce or cabbage leaves. And cut down on fat in creamy salad dressing by mixing it with plain low fat yogurt

Family fun

Weekend was alotted for our household cleaning. We also sorted some old clothes and things that we dont use anymore. Hubby was not also exempted he also made in order his computer cables which look like spaghetti. We have finished the general cleaning late already in the afternoon. And so we decided to eat our dinner outside and after that we visited the night market in town which open for a week. We enjoyed viewing the rides as we savored pop corns.

last minute

A few more days its back to work once again and we haven't yet headed to the beach. Since we’re far away from white sands and beaches, the lake is the alternative summer get away here. How I wish we can pursue our plan for a last minute getaway. If not it would just be remain as birthday wish.

As they say our lives are busy and it can be hard to be forever concentrating on finding our center of peace.
