My Prayer

To be content,

To dry my tears,

To show forth love,

To drop all fears;

To feel the thrill

Of life divine,

To recognize

That power is mine,

To know the Christ

And with Him talk,

To look for good

Where e'er I walk,

To do with joy

Each hourly task,

To live the life --

'Tis this I ask.

To banish pain,

To cheer the world,

To see the flag,

Of Truth unfurled

Till every soul

Is made to see

And know its own

To realize

That in each land

All strife shall cease

And love shall stand

Proclaiming peace

Upon the air

Thru all the years --

This is my prayer.
